Forgot to make mention of this over the weekend but yep he finally got his own car. Didn't do half bad either. His first car is at least 10x better than my first car except he's lacking that oh so lovely third pedal that my 1990 Escort GT had. No matter I now present to you his vehicle of choice.

2013 SEL V6 Taurus. His first car is better than any car I've had to date. Such a shame.

aren first cars supposed to be like a small beaten up sedan he doesnt have to worry about scratching? Or am I just old fashioned?

Yep his first car. He's driven around in my other cars over the years so he's adept at driving now (at the expense of my poor Civic taking a beating). He said that if he's going to get a car note then he's going to make sure he gets what he wants. That he most certainly did.

When people tell me first cars, I usually think of the first car they drive on a regular basis. Not the first car they ahve owned

Yep but the Civic was a 97 LX 4 door. Parts are cheap and never had any major issues. What was your first car?

My Escort was free. I shop I volunteered at used it as a parts car and said that if I learned how to drive a stick that they would just give it to me. Who needs anymore motivation than that?

Nice! I snagged mine because they were moving to Canada that day so I got a steal on it. Caught on fire a year later on the highway though haha good times

My first car was a hand-me-down VW New Beetle 5-Speed. Granted it was my mom's.

I think a used rental Cruze LT would make a good first car.

Actually, that would be a great reason to buy a used rental car. Maybe I should make that suggestion over there :)

I chose motorcycles over cars. Had 2 bikes, no cars. :P (oh, TECHNICALLY I was given my dads old saab 9-3, But I couldnt afford insurance, didnt have where to keep it, and didnt have a use for it) So we left it next to a relatives bar where it sits to this day. that was 5 years ago.

Once you've gotten to 19 you clearly have an issue I have. Get bored with a car and just want to move on to the next one. Did the new car route once and never again. Craigslist is my best friend. So much easier to cycle through cars that way.

Yep you'll be good never wasting your time at a dealership lol. I have some catching up to do. Only had 5 so far in my 5 years and soon to be 6 hopefully sometime in December.

90 Escort GT - Free

97 Civic LX Auto - $2200

92 Civic Si - $1600

93 Accord LX Manual (Fav car thus far) -$1200 and came with two 12in Subwoofers hooked up

13 Civic EX Auto (Hated the car not so got rid of it)

Next vehicle I'm thinking of is an older F series truck. 90-96 year range.

The '96 F-150/250 and the '97 F-350 were the last good looking trucks Ford ever made.

They carried the '96 front end into '97 only on the Super Duty.

Yep already knew about that. Trust me I've done lots of research on them. I want an F-250/F-350 Crew Cab with the 460 and a manual oh and it has to be 4wd. Finding them is deathly hard at a reasonable price so I may be stuck with an extended cab F-150. Still choosing between the 300I6 and the 302.
